Unremarkable collection of surfy-psychedelic sounding bullshit makes up about all of MGMT's latest album Congratulations.
No offense to the two cats who founded the group and gave us the great hits 'Time To Pretend' and 'Kids' from their previous album Oracular Spectacular.
It's no wonder these accidentally famous guys have little respect for the celebrity thing. Perhaps the new album's deliberate straying from the mainstream is a subtle middle finger gesture.
But I doubt even the rogue audience of mainstream shunners will find anything sustaining here.
I'll waste no more words for it.
Bottom line: Whatever, maybe next time they'll grace us with something better.
